United Kung Fu Training Programs



UMA Instructor Training Program

A comprehensive training program for the individual wishing to become a professional martial arts instructor. This program covers all aspects of running a martial arts school including teaching techniques, student protocols and business systems.

350 Hour Instructor Training

Instructor training and Masters Path Program. Student will Learn 5 Animal Kung Fu, Chi Gong, Taoist Yoga, Yin Yang Principles, 5 Element Theory, 6-Energies, 7 Chakras, 8 Trigrams, and other principles of health, wellness, longevity, and enlightenment. The 200 hour Level 1 Assistant Instructor training is included in this program. This may be taken in full or as a 150 hour training course after completion of the 200 Hour Assistant Instructor training. Student must apply for acceptance. Program does not include Zen Marksman Training or Zen Marksman Instructor training. Minimum Rank of red belt to apply. Acceptance based on interview and training process.

200 Hour Level 1 Assistant Instructor training

Includes 5 Animal Kung Fu (thru Red Belt). The basics of Chi Gong, Taoist Yoga, Yin-Yang Principles, 5 Element Theory, 6 Energies, 7 Chakras, 8 Trigrams, and other Principles for health, wellness, longevity, and enlightenment. Student must apply for acceptance. Minimum rank of Blue Belt to apply.

Teen and Junior Instructor Training

Includes 5 complete Martial Arts Systems: 5 Animal/5 Element Tiger and Crane, Northern Longfist, Xing Yi, Bagwa, Tai Chi and 18 Traditional Weapons (does not include firearms training). Development of Leadership Skills and Public Speaking Skills. Admittance by invitation only. Invitation is based on the recommendations of Instructional Staff. Student must acquire 3 written recommendations from Assistant Instructors, Instructors, or Head Instructors and submit those recommendations for review by the Master or Chief Instructors, who will then issue an invitation if suitable.

Masters Path Program

Designed for committed member students wishing to pursue a Path of Self-Mastery. White Belt to 5th Degree Black Belt curriculum including all Black Belt Program training, plus comprehensive instruction in Xing Yi, Northern Chinese Long Fist, Wing Chung, Baguazhang, Tai Chi and other exotic Kung Fu forms. Also features training in 18 traditional weapons, wooden man and body opponent bag application, board breaking and iron hand training, and eligibility (with instructor's approval) for Instructor Training Program and accelerated rank advancement.

Black Belt Program

Designed for member students wishing to pursue a Black Belt path. Green Belt to 1st Degree Black Belt curriculum based on the traditional 108 Tiger and Crane (Includes 5 animals Leopard, Snake, Tiger, Crane and Dragon and the 5 element life skills: Focus, Courage, Persistence, Balance, and Creativity), Five Animal Fist Shaolin Kung Fu form. A comprehensive training program including self-defense application, basic weapon and iron rings training, Protech sparring, 5 Elemental Leadership Skills and the 8 Life Principles of Success. Also includes beginning Sword training.

Basic Program

Designed for guest students with or without martial arts experience. White Belt to 1st stripe curriculum covering fundamental martial arts skills, including basic stances, blocks, kicks and strikes, plus practical self-defense skills, physical conditioning and Black Belt attitude training. A prerequisite for UMA membership, the Basic Training Program is designed to determine if membership is right for the student. Basic Martial Arts Fundamentals including, Blocks, Kicks, Strikes, and Stances. Develop Physical conditioning, strength, and flexibility. Focus, confidence, intro to goal setting and goal achievement, courtesy, respect, discipline, and Black Belt Attitude training are the beginning life skills taught. The goal of the Guest Programs is for the student to EARN the Privilege of an Invitation into one of the above programs. 3 month maximum training time!

Little Tigers Program

Designed for children ages 4 through 9 to help them begin understanding the code of honor and respect. The curriculum is based on the Basic Program with an emphasis on focus, self-control, self-discipline, confidence, courtesy, perseverance, and indomitable spirit.
